Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 edition to go alongside the previously announced Switch and PC versions. Well, technically two editions, as Marvelous will release the standard and Premium Editions in physical format for both Nintendo consoles on August 27. And just like other recently revealed multiplatform games such as Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, the Switch 2 editions will cost $10 more than the Switch and PC versions. Preorders for the Switch 2 and Switch versions are available at Amazon and Best Buy.

Grand Bazaar is a remake of the 2008 Nintendo DS game of the same name. Revealed during a Nintendo Direct in March, Story of Seasons looks like another relaxing outing for the farming/life simulator thanks to reworked graphics, a new mode of transportation in the wind glider, a cast of new characters and story events, and full voiceovers for the first time in franchise history.

The standard edition of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is priced at $50 for Nintendo Switch and $60 for Nintendo Switch 2. If you purchase the Switch version and want to upgrade later on, you can get the Switch 2 version from the eShop for $10. Just make sure you keep your Switch cartridge handy, as it'll need to be loaded in your console to play the Switch 2 edition--the same process that's currently offered on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Upgrade to the Premium Edition to get a bunch of physical collectibles. Along with the base game, this edition includes:

• Original soundtrack
• 115+ page art book
• Sheep pocket plush

That list is pretty impressive for only $20 more than the standard edition. Once again, the Switch 2 version is priced 10 bucks higher than the Switch edition.

Story of Seasons was formerly known as Harvest Moon, which is a bit confusing since Harvest Moon games are still released to this day. When Marvelous decided to take over North American distribution responsibility from Natsume many years ago, the name had to be changed as Natsume still held the rights to the "Harvest Moon." So if you're an old fan of Harvest Moon trying to get back into its relaxing world, Story of Seasons is the name to look for.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has a similar Earth Dancer Premium Edition up for preorder, though it's only available for the original Switch, so you'll have to buy an upgrade via the eShop to get the Switch 2 edition. A standard edition for Switch 2, however, is available to preorder in physical format. Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma launches on June 5, so you'll have plenty of time to play the more action-oriented farming/life sim before Grand Bazaar's August 27 release.
