Now Playing: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League | Season 1 - Meet the Joker Trailer

One hacker has unlocked Season 2's Deathstroke for use in the game--alongside all of his character gear--although the character model can't be viewed online by other players in a co-op session. Other leaks (via IGN) allegedly show unreleased character skins for the game's roster and new gear said to be arriving later in Suicide Squad's next season.

Warner Bros. has been policing social media to remove anything related to these assets, as it has issued several takedown notices on X/Twitter so far. A few months ago, dataminers also unearthed files for several other characters said to be coming to the game in the future, including the aforementioned Deathstroke, Lawless, and Mrs. Freeze.

Suicide Squad's first season--Season of Jokes--recently launched, adding a new Elseworlds incarnation of the Joker to the game. Arriving two months after the game was first released on PC and console, the DLC has been criticized for its grind-heavy approach, recycled missions, and the extremely tedious nature of unlocking new tiers on the battle pass.

Suicide Squad on Steam has struggled with low player numbers with launch, and at the time of writing, it had a 24-hour peak of 840 players. Warner Bros. recently said the game had fallen short of its expectations, but the company still plans to focus heavily on free-to-play and mobile games in the future.

Some of this is misinformation. I can speak on this because I am the one hacker whoever wrote this post is speaking about.

@mdignishere: If they genuinely want to know the truth, they should have the confidence to reach out and ask me directly, rather than painting me as a malicious person.

@itsdelphi: I agree, GameSpot does have a history of painting people as malicious persons. Do you think they should apologize?

@itsdelphi: I can respect that response. I think someone here can help get this article updated to be more accurate at least.

Hey @DaVillain nice to meet you, do you think you can forward a message to the author regarding this issue? I don't think it's fair to not at least tell both sides of a story. It could even get you guys a few more clicks!

@mdignishere: I would suggest using the moderator contact for all problem solve button as it would help to get the bottom of this.

@davillain: I see. Thank you, I'll remember that for when I need to get in touch with the mods in the future 😁

@mdignishere: To give you some context, I usually play games people are modding and try to uncover things that normal players shouldn't be able to do. This helps me provide valuable information to game creators so they can fix any issues and prevent others from exploiting them. However, I accidentally played a private game that put me on the leaderboards and exposed my actions to everyone. By the time I realized what had happened, it was too late to fix the damage. Since that incident, I have been following the rules and refraining from doing anything that goes against TOS.

I reached out to the OfficialSuicide Squad Discord and messaged the staff to apologize and offer my assistance in preventing similar issues in the future. I can show them how people can exploit the game and provide ideas on how to prevent it. Unfortunately, I haven't received a response yet. I want to clarify that I did not intend to leak any future content or ruin the leaderboards in any way. In fact, a YouTuber named "Miller" had already leaked that information before me, and it was publicly leaked on one of his social platforms. I take responsibility for my actions and I am willing to help stop these issues from happening again.

@itsdelphi: Sucks that even the official devs won't hear you out. Hopefully fixing an article or two can help clear your name a bit.
