Nintendo didn't provide any details regarding what fans can expect from it, though it's possible the company will use the event to announce the results of its public poll where it asked fans what character they wanted to see come to the game as DLC. An exact date for the briefing was not divulged.
The latest DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Bros Wii U and 3DS is Final Fantasy VII character Cloud, who was announced for the game as part of a Nintendo Direct briefing today. In addition, Nintendo has announced that new Final Fantasy Chocobo costumes are coming to the game.
With more than 4 million copies sold, Super Smash Bros. is one of Nintendo's best-selling Wii U games. It has shifted more than 7.3 million copies on 3DS, bringing the game's total to more than 11.3 million.
