Techland breaks with Strategy First

The move leaves upcoming PC racer Xpand Rally without a North American publisher.

Poland-based developer Techland today announced that Strategy First will no longer publish the company's games in North America. This development leaves Techland's upcoming PC racing sim Xpand Rally without a North American publisher. The short note released by the company today indicates that it is negotiating with other publishers, but it has not yet reached a decision.

Strategy First originally planned to publish nine games in North America, with last year's PC shooter Chrome as the big name in the arrangement. The publisher also released Techland's Indiana Jack, Pet Soccer, and Speedway Championship. Xpand Rally was the ninth game in the agreement, which was signed in January 2003.
