Tecmo Bowl kicking off on Wii

god i love startin seasons in super tecmo!

this is awsome, i use to play this when i was a kid. but why oh why does it have to be a wii exclusive. its good to see something other then madden in the mix. lets hope this one sticks around with many sequels. OH YA BROTHER!

Not a football game fan, but an arcade-y style football game would be nice.

Happy that the Tecmo Bowl franchise is making a comeback. Will be a nice change. Would be nice to have some new franchises to for Hockey Games.

Nice to see another football franchise trying to get itself out there to compete against the cash cow Madden, it's just too bad they can't get the NFL liscence.

I'm stoked it is coming out on Wii as well. I don't see myself playing my DS non stop for this. Hopefully they have wide screen support for the Wii version.

Tecmo superbowl for the NES was one of my most favorite games ever.

I remember my first football game, Tecmo Superbowl 94' for the Snes ... i miss being able to hail marry from one in-zone to the other... good old times :D

I'll be getting this game for sure. The original Tecmo Bowl didn't have the names of real NFL teams; but if we can edit the players names, that would be great It had the names, just not the team nicknames, it didnt have all the teams tho, Tecmo Super bowl tho was the 1st football game with all the teams,names and had a full season.

I loved the Tecmo Bowl games on NES and SNES. I'm definately getting the DS version. I'll get the Wii version when I can actually get a Wii; probably 6 months from now.

I still have Tecmo Super Bowl and I play it regularly. It is quite possibly the most fun football game ever made with NFL Blitz coming in a close second. If this version is anywhere near as good as that one, then I'll be purchasing it. Wish it could have the NFL license though.

Just when I thought that there wasn't a game in existence to justify the purchase of a Wii... If they retain the same feel as the classic Tecmo Bowls then I will seriously have to consider it.

This is great for FB fans. I know my friends and I will be editing the classic 1991 tecmo superbowl rosters back with Bo Jackson, QB Eagles (Randall Cunningham), Lawerence Taylor and Mike Singletary. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this will be the best FB game released in that year.

Sounds great. I'm not too concerned about team names, etc. It says you can edit the team names and player names. Just edit the names to pro names or whatever you want. I think its good in a way. With Madden, the game is obsolete after 1 year (to an extent) because of the rosters. So now you can update the roster yourself. You can also use curse words for the names, like we used to do on Waialae golf or Ken Griffey Jr baseball. Ha.

I don't play to play with the rosters, I play to play with my team. So it may be cool for a sec. but it sucks that the NFL wants exclusivity...

I generally hate sports games...but even I loved playing Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl. Sure, they were horribly unrealistic, but that's what made them so much fun. Since I don't follow the NFL anyway, I couldn't care less about rosters...might be worth looking into.

Rosters are overrated. If it includes a good player maker or incorporates Miis, then that will be better. I usually make my own players in sports games anyways, and then ball hog with them.

tecmo superbowl was one of the all time greatest games ever made. The lack of real rosters is going to hurt. I hope this can come close to it's predecessors.

dude i loved tecmo bowl back in the day...even though i was only like 4....

I think this game will be a lot of fun. However, I was really looking forward to playing the original Tecmo Super Bowl on the virtual console, with others in online matches. It will be disappointing not being able to have the original teams and players . There is nothing quite like a Montana to Rice end zone to end zone pass or a Bo Jackson 100 yard run.

This game is perfect for the DS!
