Tecmo announced on Tuesday new information regarding Dead or Alive 2 for the Dreamcast. The game's release date has been finalized, and it has been made official that DOA2 will be hitting stores in the second week of March. Tecmo also revealed that the game will carry a suggested retail price of US$44.99.

As for new details in the Dreamcast version, Tecmo has stated that the game will be based on the original version of Dead or Alive 2 (not the Millennium upgrade that appeared in some Japanese arcades). However, it will contain some features present in the Millennium upgrade. The Dreamcast version will also let four players fight at once, but no details have been revealed about this option.

"DOA2 features a movie-like cinematic quality that really pushes the state of the art for video games," said John Inada, Tecmo's marketing manager. "The graphics are incredibly realistic, and fighting action is second to none. Plus, it's packed with outrageously hot fighting babes."
