Terminator 6: New Character Details Revealed, Production Start Moves Back
Nearly time.
The last Terminator movie, 2015's Terminator Genisys, was a critical and commercial failure, but hopes are high that the next movie will be a return to form. The currently untitled Terminator 6 reunites original stars Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, and new details have now emerged about the production start date and the film's main character.
According to Terminator Fans, production has been pushed back from March to May or June this year. The delay stems from the ongoing casting process for the movie's protagonist, a character named Dani Ramos. The site has uncovered a casting call for the role which states that the producers are seeking "Latina and Hispanic talent" for the movie's lead and also provides a description of the character.
The casting call states that Dani Ramos is a "young woman in her early 20s from Mexico City. She was brought up in a working-class neighborhood, is independent and believes strongly in family. She's more street-smart than book smart and is a woman who always manages to find a ray of light even in the darkest of circumstances."

In addition, Omega Undergroud has posted a series of an audition videos for the role, as well as a transcription of the Terminator 6 script page that the potential actresses have been asked to read. It doesn't give much away, but it is an exchange between Ramos and a soldier, very possibly from the future, who is accompanying her on the way to the town of Nogales in Mexico.
Terminator 6 will be directed by Deadpool's Tim Miller, with series creator James Cameron producing. Last year, Schwarzenegger revealed that the film would be a sequel to 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day and will ignore the three subsequent sequels. It hits theaters on July 26, 2019.
There had initially been some confusion about whether a new Terminator would actually happen. Terminator: Genisys was originally intended to be the first part of a new trilogy, but its box office failure ended this plan. Subsequent reports suggested that Paramount had abandoned the idea of any more movies; however, Cameron's renewed involvement has ensured that the series does have a future.
