Terminator Genisys Sequel Officially Removed From Release Schedule

Terminator 1 & 2.
I call the rest of the "movies" Expanded Universe, so I can ignore them.

Sad to see this sequel to Genisys terminated from the schedule. James Cameron states that he himself enjoyed the film. EVEN I ENJOYED THE FILM!!! Not sure how long can I wait for the next one now. Let's Hope Cameron continues the series once he gets it back.

It definitely had it's problems. I liked Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Arnold was Arnold, and the first half hour was a lot of fun. J.K. SImmons was great as always, and the rest of the cast was fine. With one exception... whateverhisnamewas made a terrible Kyle Reese, looking and acting nothing even remotely close to Michael Biehn. That miscasting had already ruined the movie by the time it got to all the different timelines and plot holes and boring action scenes.

As much as i love the Terminator universe, this installment did not leave me excited for the next one or two (even though i would have gone and seen them hoping for the best). I hate to say it, but unless James Cameron is directly involved as at least screenwriter or ideally as writer/director, maybe it's time to just let it go.

I don't think the movie was bad but felt rushed. I only seen one trailer, and it seemed the movie was released instantly. Add to the fact I basically saw the whole movie from that trailer.

Probably the worst part is that Emilia Clark is just looked terrible as sarah connor. I imagine she is just a one trick pony as she isn't that good as khaleesi and this is coming from someone who read the first 2 books after watching season 4 of GOT because I hated waiting.

I can't wait for James Cameron to regain control.
Terminator was unbelievable and Terminator 2 was PERFECT in every sense. From that point on it was casting mistakes and dumb plots and very, very poorly executed projects.

Genisys was great, except for the actress that played Sarah Connor; she was not very believable. And yes, I know it was the dragon lady from Game of Thrones....must be a one-trick pony.

I thought Genisys was much better than what everyone has said. Definitely better than Salvation and 3.

Terminator 1 and 2 were brilliant movies because they had a really raw and super badass 80s/90s vibe about them that they have failed to recreate in all the newer ones, Schwarzenegger is just not the same as T2. Trying to recreate it modern times just fails.

After T2, the series lost most of what made Terminator stand out. Had a weight to it, you know. 3 wasn't a complete miss, but I wouldn't have minded if they'd stopped after T2. Haven't seen it yet, but judging by reactions, Genisys seems like the point where the legs have been blown off and the fucker just has to get terminated.

Man, The Terminator was awesome. After the truck blows up, fucking awesome.

For me Genesys was a really good movie, my only complain is the constant change of actors for John Connor in every movie, a completely different guy appears and they don't even look alike to argue that they needed to change him for some reason.

Terminator Genisys pretty much flop, so this was a wise move and if they really want to do another Terminator movie, bring back James Cameron to direct Terminator since Terminator and Judgment Day was a smashing hit but Judgment Day is were it's at.

For the record, Terminator Genisys was somewhat okay, it just felt a huge step back for a Terminator movie. In short, it's time to let this series die for good unless James Cameron comes back of course.

I actually enjoyed Genisys. I thought it was the third best Terminator movie.

Terminator had ran it's course and the first three were good and how many times must a movie be made to explain how the world fell to machines. Let it rest in peace, not even Arnold can breathe life into this series.

Best news I've heard all day. Hopefully this will lead a wave of Hollywood culling all these stupid reboots and remakes. I won't hold my breath on that one.

Okay first thing they can do is stop putting spoilers in the trailer; people might have been more receptive to the film if they didn't known john conner was going to be the bad guy.

second move away from the Conner family! Yes he maybe the face of the resistance but he isn't the brains of it. I remember reading on comic a friend had about a team of four terminators sent back in time to kill key members of Conner's command structure and the resistance sent a squad back to help secure them. Not only that but the main character was a tough as nail female.
