TGX 2011 Announces Arena Regional e-Sports Tournament
Singapore tournament to use DOTA and StarCraft II; 48 gamers from seven countries to compete.

The upcoming TGX (The Games Xpo) event being held at the Singapore Expo starting September 9 isn't just hosting the World Cyber Games qualifiers. The show organizers are also holding a TGX Arena Regional e-Sports competition, with 48 gamers from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines competing. The games that will be used for the tournament are real-time strategy games DOTA and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
The expo will also host the International e-Sports Federation (IeSF) Singapore Qualifiers tournament for the StarCraft II and FIFA Online 2 division. The actual world tournament will be held at Andong, South Korea, from October 6 to October 10. The World Cyber Games 2011 Finals will be held at Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea, from December 8 to December 11.

TGX will also be featuring the Singapore Games Industry Career Program where local developers and publishers are recruiting graduates and talents in one area. The expo will also launch the complete version of Dragon Nest SEA. For more information on the online title, check out GameSpot's coverage.
