The Sherlock BBC series was a breakout success and one of the most beloved recent renditions of the world's most famous detective, thanks in no small part to great leading performances from Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular Sherlock and Martin Freeman as the faithful Doctor Watson. The set includes all four seasons of Sherlock, along with the Abominable Bride, a special holiday episode that aired during season three. The modernized adaptation of the classic Arthur Conan Doyle characters was praised for its frequently cold and abrasive Sherlock and a more active Watson who often clashed with his friend.
