Ubisoft will release a free trial for its online racing game The Crew, the publisher announced today. The free trial version is available today on PlayStation 4 with an Xbox One release slated for tomorrow.
It sounds like the trial will only be available on current-generation consoles, not PC or Xbox 360. The Crew was not released for PlayStation 3.
The trial offers up the full version of The Crew, but is limited to two hours. However, all progress will carry forward if you decide to buy the full game.
For people who already own The Crew, Ubisoft has now released more content for the racing game through the Vintage Car Pack and Vintage Live Update. The expansion introduces--among other things--new cars and a new PvP mode. It's available now through the game's DLC pass or can be purchased by itself separately.
The Vintage Live Update, however, is free for everyone. It includes four new faction missions and a new PvP mode called Blitz Brawl. In this mode, players will need to "hurry from zone to zone and score points alone or as part of a team." To win, players must push opponents out of the zone while themselves remaining inside it.
Finally, the Vintage Live Update adds new tuning specs, including vintage stickers and a new wooden interior.
