The Division Free With This New Logitech Gaming Keyboard

Get a free copy of Ubisoft's third-person shooter when you buy Logitech's $160 G810 Orion Spectrum

28 Comments

Logitech has announced a new mechanical gaming keyboard and revealed a special promotion whereby you can get a copy of The Division free when you buy it. The keyboard is the G810 Orion Spectrum. It used Logitch's Romer-G mechanical switches and the keys are illuminated. Take a look at it in the video below.

In a release, Logitech said the keyboard's mechanical switches are capable of delivering "near-instant responsiveness." The company claims that key presses register 25 percent faster than standard switches.

The $160 G810 Orion Spectrum also leverages Logitch's gaming software to let users customize each individual key with any of more than 16.8 million colors. Lighting effects can also be synchronized with Logitech's other gaming peripherals using the software.

Additionally, the keyboard includes dedicated media controls so you can do things like play, pause, or mute music without needing to leave a game.

As for the freebie offer for The Division, all you have to do is preorder the keyboard and Ubisoft's third-person shooter should automatically show up in your cart. The keyboard starts shipping February 8, according to Polygon, while The Division is scheduled to arrive on March 8.

The Division is also free with with $180 G910 Orion Spark keyboard.

No thanks. I don't like Logitech's mechanical switches. Everyone wants to make their own now but Cherry is still the best by far.

Just had an email from game.co.UK, another in the line of retailers promoting this game n fact that preorders have increased means that they have dropped the 120 GBP price tag of the division sleeper agent edition down to 100 GBP, that's amazing. That's a good price now cus now because I have two preordered one for me and my son so that means we will of saved 40 gbp ..

Lol...$160 keyboard. "And here's a "free" copy of a game you were probably going to pirate anyway!"

master racers really crack me up. almost as laughable as dropping $600 for just a video card. The irony is the nerve of bragging to "peasants" about how PC games are "cheaper" on Steam.

i got a mechanical keyboard few months back but decided i couldn't really use it. Its just too heavy, and I mostly use my keyboard on my lap and it was uncomfortable. My non mechanical ones lasted for a good 4-5 years so far. Im sure by the time it dies it'll be so disguisting i'll want a new one.

@se7en1989:

Consider who buys these overpriced peripherals. Same people that don't think twice about spending $2-3k on a gaming platform. What's another $160? Lol

I didn't even know this was coming. Honestly I'd buy this regardless. The Orion Spark is cool and all, but having had the original G15 since launch I realized that the programmable keys were something I never used all these years. So offering the same quality keyboard without the extra functions I'd never use (and the extra width, which is troublesome in my small keyboard/mouse space) is extremely attractive to me. At $40 less that's good by me. Looking forward to getting it.

Because it has the game that comes with it you can justify the price, but no way in hell anyone should be paying more than 100$ for a good mechanical gaming keyboard, and even then you can have a decent one for 80$.

For $160 , this thing better last at least 10 years.

Right now, I'm using a Logitech K120 that I bought for 10 dollars, 3 years ago.. It still works perfectly.

@Born_Lucky:

Why would you need it to last 10 years, not like your PC will make it that long. Lol

I want a new keyboard, but I can't go back to having one without a screen built into it now.

Too bad I already have a Corsair K70 RGB keyboard. If I was in the market for a new keyboard I would certainly give the 810 a hard look, as to me it is actually more appealing than the 910 (doesn't have weird keycaps, wrist rest). I hear the Romer G switches have a nice feel to them (haven't tried them)

As for The Division, I didn't play the closed beta, but I have watched gameplay videos and it honestly doesn't seem that compelling (Ok combat, ok loot, meh story). I'll definitely need to see reviews.

@rhenom: My G510S is serving me pretty well, I cannot live without my little monitor telling me my FPS & temps etc. anymore! The grouping of the G keys on the left is pretty useful as well.

I'd like to try some Romer G switches (without those ridiculous key caps on the 910) but I won't give up my Aida64 system monitoring on the keyboard.

@rhenom: Same, I bought a K70 after I spilled a beer on my Black Widow and I couldn't be happier with it(although programmable macro keys would have been nice). I'm not a fan of the RGB versions of keyboards though since I don't really need to spend extra money for aesthetic stuff like multicolored keys.

@Hammershock6: ... which makes The Division free since you aren't paying $60 extra for it.

@Hammershock6: Bottom line is that if you bought these items separately (the keyboard at $160 and The Division at $60), you'd be paying $220 (plus tax, if applicable).

With this offer, you're paying $160 for the keyboard and getting The Division at no additional cost beyond the MSRP for the keyboard. For most sane people, that equates to getting the game for free.

Unless, of course, you like to argue semantics.

Looks sweet the keyboard and even sweeter that so many company's and developers are getting behind the division to do promotional sales. The division is going to sell real well, especially when different deals are popping up with a copy of the game along with what they're trying to sell..
