The Division Storms UK Chart With Record Breaking Debut
Ubisoft occupies three spots in top ten with The Division, Far Cry Primal, and Rainbow Six Siege.
Ubisoft's The Division has taken the top spot on the UK sales chart for the week ending March 12. According to sales monitor Chart-Track, the open-world shooter had the biggest launch for the first three months of any year, surpassing previous record holder, Gran Turismo 4.
"The Division breaks an 11 year record held by Gran Turismo 4 [released in 2005], outselling any other title released in the first three months of the year," explained Chart-Track.
"It is also Ubisoft's biggest ever launch of a Tom Clancy title, sitting behind Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed III as their third largest launch of all time."
The publisher also occupied a further two spots on the top ten with Far Cry Primal at No.2 and Rainbow Six: Siege at No.10. The full top ten can be found below.
