The Last Of Us Part 2's New Trailer Debuts On Wednesday [Update]
Following the game going gold, Naughty Dog released a new trailer for its anticipated sequel.
Following confirmation that The Last of Us Part II has gone gold, developer Naughty Dog debuted a new trailer for its highly-anticipated sequel today, May 6, at 7 AM PT. You can view the full trailer here, but be warned that it's a gruesome and gory introduction to the game that paints and even more macabre picture than the original game. It also has us even more excited to get our hands on the sequel.
The teaser, posted on Twitter, features voice-overs from main characters Joel and Ellie. Ellie seems determined to finish a fight of some kind, while Joel warns her that everything has a cost. As it's been with most other trailers for the game, it's all extremely foreboding and cryptic.

At least that's the case if you've managed to steer clear of spoilers for the game, which have been circulating around the internet for weeks now following a leak. Sony and Naughty Dog have since confirmed that the leak was not instigated by a former or current employee as was rumored, but suffice to say you'll have to be careful if you want to make it to launch on June 19 without accidentally coming across story details.
The Last of Us Part II was originally scheduled to launch on May 29, before being indefinitely delayed by Sony due to logistical concerns brought about by the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was recently confirmed that the game will now launch on June 19, with Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima delayed to July 17 to accommodate it.
