The Medium Game Length Revealed: Here's How Long It Is
Players can expect The Medium's psychological adventure to last about eight hours.
With Bloober Team's psychological horror title The Medium now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, we've finally learned just how long it is. Those familiar with the studio's previous outputs like Blair Witch and Observer can expect The Medium to last about eight hours long.
That estimation is based on doing the barest of minimums and refusing to turn over every stone to find all the collectibles. Those intent on seeing everything The Medium has to offer are looking at 10 hours in total, including gathering the various echoes and memory shards. For more on what to expect, you can read our The Medium review. You don't have to buy the game in order to see whether you like it on not, either. It's included as part of Xbox Game Pass.
Bloober Team has released a few other psychological horror games that hover around the same length. According to How Long To Beat, Blair Witch and Observer can be finished in about six and eight hours, respectively. Meanwhile, the studio's other two titles, Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2, sit on the shorter side at roughly four and five hours long, respectively.
The Medium is Bloober Team's latest project following 2019's Blair Witch. The game puts players in the shoes of Marianne, a medium who must use her psychic powers to travel between realms to uncover the mysteries of what's plaguing her. The latest trailer for the game provides a connection to the studio's other psychological horror title, Observer: System Redux.
