The N64 Evil Gets Larger
Resident Evil 2 action to weigh in heavily on the Nintendo 64 at 512 megabits.
The survival horror game continues to grow.... Nintendo Power recently stated that Resident Evil 2 for the N64 will be weighing in at an unparalleled 512 megabits - the largest N64 cartridge ever. In fact, the size will be nearly double that of Zelda (256 megabits, which only months ago seemed mighty impressive). Also interesting to note is that 512 megabits is the storage capacity Nintendo touted for its future 64DD device - in terms of storage space, this would practically make the 64DD obsolete.
When GameSpot News contacted Capcom on Tuesday, the company stated it couldn't confirm whether Resident Evil 2 for the N64 is indeed 512 megs. Capcom mentioned it will announce the specific size of the game at E3.
Also, Capcom announced that Resident Evil will be coming to the Game Boy Color.
