The Predator's Upgraded Armor Revealed In New Reboot Movie Image
Hunting high and low.
The Predator is the latest movie in the long-running sci-fi action series and is set to hit theaters in September. The trailers for the movie made it clear that alien hunters of the title have been given something of an upgrade in terms of their distinctive armor, and the latest image from the movie has given us a good look at the new Predator.
The image comes via Empire, and it reveals the the lean, mean armor that the creature will be wearing in the film. Presumably this will come in handy when it has to face the Super Predator, the giant hybrid revealed in the most recent trailer. Check it image out below:

The Predator is directed by Shane Black, who previously helmed Iron Man 3 and the crime comedy The Nice Guys, as well as writing the original Lethal Weapon. It stars Boyd Holbrook (Narcos, Logan), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Keegan-Michael Key (Keanu, Key & Peele), Sterling K. Brown (The People v. OJ Simpson), and Jacob Tremblay (Room).
In an interview with Empire, Black explained that it was necessary to make the Predator a scary adversary once more. "The challenge became to make it frightening," he said. "'Cause upon that hinged everything--whether you bought our heroes going up against him and felt a real threat for them. We had to invent a scenario in which the Predators were mysterious and scary again."
Black also provided a few details about the reshoots that recently took place, and explained that the main change was the time of day. "The first time we shot the third act it was daytime," he said. "It's all this spooky stuff but then its bright sunlight. It just didn't work. So I said 'Ummm, can we do this again at night?'"
The Predator hits theaters on September 14.
