The Super Mario Bros. Movie Is Now Available To Watch At Home
You can buy a digital copy of the Super Mario Bros. Movie for $30 at Prime Video, the Microsoft Store, and other retailers.
Just over a month after it released in theaters, the Super Mario Bros. Movie is now available to watch from the comfort of your own home. The movie is available to rent or buy from Prime Video and other digital storefronts. If you shop at Gruv, you can get the 4K UHD version for $24 with promo code SIGNUP20. If that code doesn't work for you, try HAPPYANNY15 to drop the price to $25.49 (h/t Wario64).
Over at Amazon, you can buy the film in any format (UHD, HD, standard) for $30. As a Movies Anywhere-supported title, you'll be able to watch it on all of your devices. The option to rent is there, but you'll only save five bucks by going that route. Prime Video's rental policy gives you 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to finish the movie once you begin.
It's worth noting that Peacock will likely have the film available by August, as all Universal movies are added to the streaming service within four months of their theatrical debut. But if you’re looking to snag the movie for your home theater as soon as it becomes available, be sure to check out Amazon’s movie page.
It should come as no surprise, but The Super Mario Bros. Movie broke several records within weeks of hitting theaters, which includes passing $1 billion in sales and claiming the title of highest-grossing video game movie of all time. However, reviews for the movie were mixed, with its Metacritic score sitting at just 46. But despite paltry critic reviews, the film was an absolute hit with moviegoers, earning an 8.6 user score on Metacritic.
If you want to add it to your physical collection, Blu-rays will likely be released by early July (check out our extensive Super Mario Bros. Movie preorder guide for more details). All Blu-rays editions also come with a digital copy.
