Amazon's pilot season is almost here, and one of the new shows premiering is the latest reboot of the goofy blue superhero series, The Tick. It debuts on August 19.

The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) as the titular character, and you can take your first look at the actor in costume in the images from ComicBook.com below. It also features actors such as Jackie Earl Haley (Watchmen), Valorie Curry (House of Lies), Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin), and Griffin Newman (Vinyl).

The pilot is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television, and the official synopsis from Amazon reads, "In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero."

The Tick was originally a comic book in the late '80s before getting its own animated series in 1994. It later received its first live-action show with Family Guy's Patrick Warburton as the Tick.

On top of The Tick, Amazon is debuting two additional pilots. I Love Dick starring Kevin Bacon and Jean-Claude Van Johnson starring... surprise, Jean-Claude Van Damme both premiere on August 19.
