My local GameStop recently closed down, and they told me that if I want to pre-order a game I have to pick it up at a store. I'm curious on how that works generally- if you pre-order a game online will you get the game on release day, or will it be sent on release day?

OMG, ?‍♂️I’m surprised at this list!!! Top 5 games that should have been ranked by this order in my opinion.

1) Cyberpunk 2077

2) Jedi Fallen Order

3) Death Stranding (this was not at E3 but definitely was Pre-ordered)

4) COD Modern Warfare (2019)

5) Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Honestly, I already pre-ordered all 5 of these games. Can’t wait till the Fall!!

Call of Duty being number one on a list with these games really lends credence to the old "bread and circuses" saying.

Walmart had lower prices than Best Buy on some games in Canadian Dollars (Star Wars at $50, Death Stranding $56, COD $54, CTR $29, Cyberpunk $54). I only PO'd the FF7 Deluxe Edition because it's the same price everywhere.

My Best Buy gamers club thing didnt expire til yesterday, so i did all my E3 ordering there. Gonna miss that discount.

People still pre-order at Gamestop? Its a total scam. Unless its some niche title they're not going to "run out". The only time pre-order's are acceptable these days is though Amazon even than you don't have too. But since they're no money down with release day shipping you can treat is as fire and forget. So why not? There's no need to worry about forgetting you $5 and Gamestop stealing your deposit or moving it to a game you don't wan't to inflate their numbers.

Call of duty being the number 1 is utterly disgusting.
