The Walking Dead's Season 8 Premiere Is The Lowest Rated In Five Years

They have had plenty of chances to take out NEGAN, Negan is a cool character, love the actor, but damn is Negan getting on my last nerve, If i was Rick and in that situation i'd say screw everything and blow his head clean off and be done with it, they are dragging out this negan crap for too damn long now. Now we will have at least 9 to 13 more episodes of pure filler.

In an Apocalypse, with limited ammunition, they wasted it bringing down the glass? That was my grip with the Series premier!

If people thought that episode was boring you all in for a long season. That was a pretty action packed episode, and they always slow down after an action packed opener.

Not sure why I still watch it. The show has no direction. End of S7 was cringe bad, so no surprise less watching this. I just hope they all die and it ends.

I must be one of the rare folks on the planet who never watched this (Or game of thrones). I mean i can only take so much zombie stuff. I recommend The Preacher (brilliant), Ash VS Evil Dead, all of the Underbelly, a great Australian TV show. On the comedy side an oldie Fat Pizza, Housos and Swift and Shift Couriers. Thats for you non Australian residents who dont know this stuff haha :)

And the downfall continues. I give it 2 more seasons.

lol fourth worst season premiere (of 7 seasons) they write it so doom and gloom. like it's had 15 seasons or something.

downward trend isn't good, no doubt. but not like it was horrible with 11.5. and right in the middle for the show.

i still enjoy the series myself. is a little too filler, but still one of the few shows i really make sure to watch.

At this point, I'm feeling like Negan is completely ruining the show. The dumb cliffhanger I bet most people saw coming, the refusal to shoot him in the face when they've got incredible opportunities, the facade that his saviors are in the least bit intimidating/scary since their first appearance on the show etc. Attempting to take the show in a new direction now doesn't sound so bad. This asshat swears his preteen sense of humor looks/sounds badass, but its just god awful. I'm upset adults watch this show and think he's a good villain. Nothing convinces me he's as dangerous or sociopathic as he came off in the comics. Reducing his foul mouth to dick jokes and his iron fist rule being mostly off-screen, due to censorship, has completely broken his character. I really don't see a point in continuing.

Season 7 must've sucked then since it was the highest premiere and this was the lowest. I stopped watching after Season 5 anyway

I literally didn't even know it was back already. Usually I'd see stuff about it all over YouTube, but nope.

I knew the show was head down hill the season that Rick made the deal to kill Neagan and his crew and not once asked beforehand who was Neagan, how can I be sure its him, how many were in his crew, what kind of weapons did they have etc. AND RICK WAS A FORMER COP. Just about the whole series has been like this, no planning no strategy what so ever. Another example, they could have took Woodbury after the governor was killed and most likely nobody would have fought them or simply rebuilt the Prison. They had nothing but time. Fencing/barriers good enough to keep out walkers was all that was needed to start the rebuilding process. Glen was the only character that had any common sense and yet he got himself killed for nothing, accomplishing nothing.

Can't wait for this shitty show to end. I was done by season 4 as what was once a good show in S1 clearly decided to simply cater so had no structure. Long drawn out drama for the sake of drama with fake attempts of depth and clever story telling here and there. Long since over it.

The comic was better but then sadly fell into the same rut and Kirkman even admitting he has no plan and is just doing it because it keeps making him money. Glad the Telltale series at least knew when to stop because those were actually good too but it is the exception rather than the rule. Oh well.

Oh, and it has one of the worst fanbases in existence. Pure cancer and toxic. Glad to not have to deal with those losers anymore either.

Oh well, the ratings will continue to drop. I still enjoy it, though. This season will be a lot better than the last 2, so I'm sticking around. The CGI looks way better as of the first episode as well.

The most anti-climactic programme I've ever seen. Continually dragging things out beyond boredom level to the point no one cares any more.

Game of Thrones, you can barely keep up with, which keeps it exciting.

It was easily one of the worst, if not THE worst, episode they've ever done. Not only that, but the series has dragged on for so long now that, by this point, I had to force myself to watch it.

I like the show but they spent what 2 season's hyping this war only to have it end in the first episode of the season.

I liked the episode, they really just got right to to it, (although I'm still trying to figure out the flash-forward sequences, seems like they're keeping something from us here where Rick is talking about mercy).

I don't give a shit what anyone says, I still love this show.

Nothing surprise here. The show is bad, really bad. If you watch the first season, directed by Frank Dorabont (the same guy who directed Shawshank Redemption) you will think this is the best show ever. But it went downhill after the 3rd season (Frank was involved only on the first season, the second and third season was good only because it was finishing what he started).
