The War Z back on Steam
Hammerpoint's controversial zombie shooter reinstated in Valve's virtual storefront after being pulled in December.
The War Z has been resurrected. Valve has announced that Hammerpoint Interactive's controversial zombie game is now again available to purchase through Steam.
"The War Z is now available for purchase on Steam. Valve and Hammerpoint Interactive collaborated to address community feedback, update the Steam store page, and make the title available for purchase worldwide," Valve said in a statement.
"In addition, a patch has been released to update existing customers. As such, the special refund offering extended for The War Z Steam customers who previously purchased the title has concluded."
The War Z launched on Steam in December and was pulled just a day after release, after users reported numerous issues. Valve called its decision to originally publish the game a "mistake."
The game is currently available to purchase for $15. Gamers can also spend $25 and $50 to purchase The War Z with 2,100 and 7,500 Gold Credits, respectively. For more on The War Z, check out GameSpot's review.
