The Witcher 2 Coming to Xbox One Via Backwards Compatibility

CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, the Polish studio has confirmed.

Community manager Marcin Momot made the tease on Twitter. "It's coming but we don't have any dates to share yet. Please stay tuned for the official announcement," he said to a fan.
There is clearly demand to make the 2011 RPG playable on Xbox One, as the game currently has more than 33,000 votes on the Xbox Feedback site.
Right now, there are 104 Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, a feature that rolled out in November. Microsoft's plan is to update the library with new games every month.
"You'll hear about [December's lineup] soon," Microsoft's Mike Ybarra said on Twitter.
Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, and Skate 3 are all confirmed to join the program sometime down the road, though it's not clear when.
CD Projekt Red's latest game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, took home the overall Game of the Year award last night at the 2015 Game Awards. In addition, CD Projekt Red was named Developer of the Year.
