The X-Men Manga Is Being Remastered, And The Huge Deluxe Edition Is Up For Preorder
After years of being out of print, the X-Men manga series is getting the deluxe treatment ahead of its reprint later this year.
X-Men comic books have been around since the '60s, but if you're looking for a Children of the Atom adventure of a different variety, the long out-of-print manga will be reprinted later this year. Volume 1 of the remastered X-Men manga is now available to preorder. This deluxe edition will be published on November 12, more than 25 years after its original run ended.
Priced at $25, this 512-page paperback has received a new translation and is loaded with stories from mangaka Hiroshi Higuchi. Primarily based on the hit '90s animated series, this manga has been out of print for years. Like the animated series, it follows teenager Jubilation Lee as she discovers her unique powers and has to deal with the slight problem of mutant-hunting Sentinels chasing her down.

- X-Men: The Manga: Remastered Volume 1 -- $25
- Spider-Man: Octogirl -- $12
- Deadpool: Samurai - The Official Coloring Book -- $15
- X-Men: the Art and Making of the Animated Series -- $40 (
$50)
Fortunately, that's where the X-Men come in, and it's not long before Jubilee joins their ranks. This isn't the only Marvel manga getting a reprint, as fans can also look forward to a classic Spider-Man tale and a Deadpool activity book soon. Spider-Man: Octogirl has a wild premise, as summed up by the official synopsis:
"After a battle with Spider-Man, the evil genius scientist Doctor Octopus falls into a coma. When he wakes up, his consciousness is in the body of Otoha Okutamiya, a middle school girl in Tokyo! Thus begins the strange school life of Spider-Man’s biggest rival...as a normal Japanese girl!"
And for fans of Marvel's foul-mouthed mercenary, there's Deadpool: Samurai - The Official Coloring Book out soon. This one features 80 pages of manga art by Hikaru Uesugi that you can color in, as well as a few cameos from other Marvel heavyweights like Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow.
If you're a fan of the X-Men animated series, you should also check out X-Men: The Art and Making of the Animated Series, which chronicles the show's creation from the perspective of showrunners Eric and Julia Lewald.
