Eidos Montreal confirms players can complete next-generation action game without killing anyone.
Gamers will be able to complete upcoming next-generation action game Thief without performing a single kill, developer Eidos Montreal has confirmed.
"You can complete the game without killing anybody," the developer explained on its blog. "Garrett is a master thief, not a killing machine!"
According to Eidos, players will have multiple ways to approach objectives throughout Thief. Depending on the path players choose, they will encounter unique sets of challenges, as well as looting opportunities.
In addition, the developer confirmed that difficulty options in Thief will be scalable, allowing players to select a more traditional and hardcore experience or a newcomer-friendly option.
Thief is due out for the PC, PlayStation 4, and "other next-gen platforms" in 2014.
