This Classic Call Of Duty Game Might Be The Next Addition To Xbox Game Pass - Report
The original Modern Warfare 2 could be coming this spring.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is reportedly coming to Xbox Game Pass. And yes, it would be the original 2009 Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360, not the one that was released in 2022.
According to Xbox Era and Insider Gaming, the game is reportedly going to be added sometime in March or April. However, it's unclear whether its the full 2009 game with multiplayer or just the remastered campaign that was released in 2020 for PS4 and Xbox One. The remastered version doesn't include multiplayer or the Spec Ops mode, but features improved models and remade cutscenes.
So far, the only two Call of Duty Games available on Game Pass are Black Ops 6 and 2023's Modern Warfare 3. Adding 2009's Modern Warfare 2 would be the first time an Xbox 360-era Call of Duty made it onto the subscription service. If the game ends up being added, this could be a sign that other Call of Duty games are on the way.
Fans created a mod for a Modern Warfare 2 remastered multiplayer mode, but Activision shut it down hours before launch due to fears that it would impact Black Ops 6 sales.
2008's Call of Duty World at War and Raven Software's Singularity are also reportedly coming to Game Pass in May.
