From the looks of it, it will really be canceled, a shame I say, like many here I was looking forward to this game...

Dire news, I used to check back every month to see if there were any uopdates on this, it had so much potential such a shame.

Going to Vegas on the 14th and was actually really looking forward to this. Sux!!

Thats a shame, I was eyeing this game up for years.

This sucks, I've been looking forward to this ever since it was announced.

they should just throw it out there on the net so ppl can see why it was closed.

There should be a place for stuff like this - a sort of home for the elderly for unfinished games ha ha. Maybe even offer them up to modding communities to complete how they wish for a nominal fee - they might get a few quid back from that enormous spend at least.

Thats a shame, I remembering seeing this at E3 either last year or the year before.

I never saw much of the game, I actually forgot that it existed till now. But its still saddening that this game won't see the light at the end of the tunnel (well, not now I suppose, miracles can happen).

too bad surreal got shut down I really liked that studio... Pfff I hope sooner or later small studios like these get a better fighting chance, thats a lot of lost talent walking them streets...

This game sounds like gta without shooting or missions or story, just the crappy minigames. Looked boring.

I was looking forward to this game and this game from the demo tried things gta series never tried its a shame all that money is gone. there also was a game called 2 days 2 vegas i think was cancelled too.

Bummer, that looked like it might be interesting. Oh well.

They should just finish it up, 2011 is looking pretty barren to be honest with most of the games being released all early 2011. This could be a chance for them to grab up some cash from gamers looking for something to play in the summer. Well this and Ransom City Killer are two games this gen I was REALLY looking forward to playing.

At the very least, why not release it half done at half cost and then release a later installment if the game pans out? Then again, they probably didn't see sales out pacing their budget.

well at 50 mil spent they should push it out just so they can try to recover their losses. Just throwing it away could be even worse then actually releasing it. I guess if forgot that monkeys run the gaming industry though.

All I can say is WOW. I remember seeing articles about this game around the time GTAIV came out. I was looking forward to it but really had forgotten til now. That sucks..

While the trailer shows a game that looks damn near last gen (looks a lot like GTA:SA)... I seriouslly doubt any developer would walk away from a project that has so far cost $50 mil. Even if the game was going to be absolutly terrible and bomb big time, selling a few hundred thousand copies is better then selling no copies at all when you have invested that kind of money in a project.

what an incredible waste of money. Over $40 million dollars put in this game and they cancel it? Whoever handled the money and funding for the game should be fired, not the developers.

Judging by the trailer this game has some insanely high production vaule.

It's pretty sad Midway made Surreal Software make this turd, while they should've just made The Suffering 3!

This game will get released if they did spend all that money on it in order to recoup some of the losses. It just wont be the game it was intended to be because of lack of polish and the many bugs it will have once released... *sigh*
