Osgood Perkins and James Wan's big screen adaptation of Stephen King's 1980 horror short story The Monkey premiered back in February, and now it’s gearing up for a home theater release on June 24. Preorders for The Monkey 4K Blu-ray are discounted to just $26 (was $43), and reserving a copy from Amazon means you won’t be charged until the product ships. You’re also eligible for any further discounts between now and June 24.

The Monkey 4K Blu-ray Bonus Features

A detailed list is yet to be released, but we do know that The Monkey 4K Blu-ray will include bonus features such as featurettes, trailers, and “funeral programs.” These will take you behind the scenes of The Monkey, making them a fun addition for dedicated fans.

The Monkey is a short story written by King in 1980, and it’s collected in Skeleton Crew: Stories--a compilation of numerous short stories by King. A new version of the trade paperback was released earlier this year, and it’s currently on sale for just $16.48 (was $22). The mass market paperback of Skeleton Crew: Stories is up for preorder ahead of its August 26 release. This version is a bit more affordable than the currently available trade paperback.

If you want to add an additional Stephen King film to your home theater, you can preorder The Dead Zone 4K Steelbook ahead of its June 10 release. The steelbook looks absolutely stunning with a design spanning both the front and back of its case--though as an Amazon limited edition, it’s not liable to stick around for long.

For more monkey madness, check out the unrelated Monkey Shines 4K Blu-ray. This version of George Romero’s horror flick is packed with extras, including commentary from the director, deleted scenes, an alternate ending, and a featurette covering the making of the film. Preorders are slightly discounted right now, so check it out if you want two terrifying monkey films to enjoy in the coming months.
