Ending the silence on Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon that has prevailed since its April announcement, Eidos has sent out new screenshots from the upcoming real-time strategy game set in a tumultuous period of Chinese history. Three Kingdoms is currently in the works at Overmax Studio, a Beijing-based developer. The game's premise is borrowed from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a 14th-century novel by Luo Guanzhong that describes the wars that divided 2nd-century China.

Eidos says Three Kingdoms is on schedule for a fall release. We should have more details on the game soon.
