Titanfall for Xbox 360 delayed

Game shifted to March 25 to give developer Bluepoint "time to put the finishing touches on the game."

Titanfall for Xbox 360 has been delayed, Electronic Arts announced today.

The game is now expected to arrive on March 25. The delay was necessary, EA said, so that developer Bluepoint could have extra time to "put the finishing touches on the game." The Xbox One and PC versions are unaffected and will arrive on March 11 as scheduled.

A beta for Titanfall will be held on Xbox One and PC, though Xbox 360 owners are going to be left out.

Titanfall is one of 2014's most-anticipated games and is coming exclusively to Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC thanks to an exclusive arrangement between Electronic Arts and Microsoft. The game was built by numerous former Call of Duty developers, including Zampella, who cofounded prolific Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward.

Okay so i'm new here just joined but i was looking at pre-ordering the game at amazon and when i looked to see the box art it say's on it online only and xbox live gold required. Does any body remember what happened to the Halo 2 servers seems like Microsoft might be trying to pull a fast one and it's very disappointing i don't want to get a game that i can't play in ten years sad face

There's a reason why no 360 footage has been seen as of yet. Rumors have it that the 360 version and the XBO version as nearly identical. MS wants the XBO to sell, and Titanfall is a big catalyst for this. Why would a 360 owner spend $559 when they can spend $59 for the almost the same thing?

This is what MS doesn't want...

Why do I get the impression this game is potentially being rushed out on all formats? Either way I'm staying away from it until I watch a couple of match videos on youtube to decide whether or not it is worth the purchase.

I always expected that trend to carry over but now there's a PS4 sat next to those two, and no urge to clear space anywhere for a One.

As far as Titanfall goes, if you really wanted to know if it's for you and weren't sure if you'd be bored of it in a couple of weeks and had a 360, surely it makes more sense to try it on there before you shell out $500+.

If they really wanted to delay it to try and sell more X1's they wouldn't have waited this long to announce it, trust me it's and obvious delay.

Even if they don't, they would have had to do the manufacturing 2 weeks earlier. So I don't understand what the point your making is.

You are clearly digging in the dirt to find whatever you can find to go bitching around, and even with nothing to dig out of the dirt, you are still mumblings words. Dude don't be ridicules, it is very unlikely that they will look close to the other version. Perhaps, the reason you haven't seem any footages from the Xbox version, is because the Xbox 360 version looks like crap, and that's the reason for the delay

It's funny how haven't seen any "leaked" footage for the XB360 version of Titanfall. This delayed status just gives credibility to the rumors that the difference between the XB360 and XBO version is very minimal. MS doesn't want any direct comparisons between the two, since it could hurt sales. Why would a X360 owner spend $500 when they can spend $60?

Why would the past-gen take longer to finish up than the current-gen? Doesn't make sense.

I'll probably be getting the PC version since I can run at 1080p.

And the 360 is being done by somebody other than Respawn, so naturally their choices for optimization for that platform are their own.
