Top 10 UK Sales Chart: Ghost Recon: Wildlands Is 2017's Biggest Launch, Beats Horizon Zero Dawn And Zelda To No.1
Perfect landing.
In its debut week, Ghost Recon: Wildlands soared to No.1 in the UK physical games chart, sending Horizon Zero Dawn to No.2. The Tom Clancy title is 2017's biggest launch so far--overtaking Horizon's launch just a week previous.
Another new entry, Lego Worlds, managed to beat The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to No.3 for the week ending March 11, reports sales monitor Chart-Track. The Nintendo Switch launch title could only finish at No.4 in its second week on the market, down from No.2 last week.
The evergreen Grand Theft Auto V is down to No.5 this week, while another new title, Nier: Automata, debuts at No.6. FIFA 17 (No.7), Rocket League (No.8), 1-2-Switch (No.9), and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (No.10) complete the top 10.
Ghost Recon: Wildlands' strong opening comes despite mixed reviews. Our critic called the open-world game "a middlingly safe tactical shooter and a slightly wasted opportunity," though he did praise its "seemingly boundless map" and its mission diversity.
