@wexorian: okami hd would be perfect on the switch... rather, nintendo tried to be edgy and instead went after doom and skyrim for some reason lol

so long as the new okami remaster plays at a perfect 60fps, i will pick it up. we will need to wait for the reviews on performance since capcom is spotty to say the least when it comes to remasters... although the okami remaster on ps3 was well done.

Although these next holiday weeks are slim when it comes to content being released, January is gonna be an epic month for gamers. With Dissidia- NT Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter Worlds, Ni-No Kuni II & much more all releasing real close to one another, I will be busy for months!!!!

@Jimbowesker: yea, that's a hell of a way to kick the year off... realistically, most people don't have the time nor the money to buy everything at launch. i probably won't pick up those games until fall 2018.

@LasDK: definitely not a kids game...one of the best, if not the best, jrpg to hit the ps3. Ni No Kuni was a 10/10, that's how good it was. BTW - I played the first one around 2012 and I'm 41, so not a kids game.

@LasDK: it has an art style that looks "child friendly", but it is not a game aimed at kids by any means since it has a fairly deep battle system. just like a dragon quest game, which has a similar art style, you wouldn't expect a 7 year old to know what the hell they are doing while playing such a game. also, the developers said the story in ni no kuni 2 will be more adult themed and mature compared to ni no kuni 1. it is a jrpg. you either like them or you don't i suppose. but to get back to your question... ni no kuni has a universal feel to it that appeals to people of all ages, just like a studio ghibli or pixar movie.

@Xristophoros: I will look out for reviews, I have not played any JRPG yet, so I don't know if I will like it.

@playstationzone: Yeah, Im actually really looking forward to Dead Rising 4. Although it scored rather weak on critics reviews on all the major gaming sites, I still think they were all prolly being a lil harsh on ole Frank and that it will meet my expectations just fine.

@Jimbowesker: or they've ran the dead rising IP into the ground.....that tends to happen when the game on;y ney a certain type of gamer then they try to change things to widen the appeal.....yeah I tried the DR2 OTR crap cus eww i can frack off unlimited in it and oops wouldn't you know it was boring??? i mean killing the zombies is fun for a bit but I've never liked the story of the games so with nothing else to fall back on I ditched the game, thank gods it was a PS+ offering....

my thing was Dead Island, imperfect game but it had enough decent story missions to hold me and the minute to minute gameplay was kinda fun....interesting enough to keep me....driving sucked ass but I was pretty good at it....lets just say in a pinch if you were in my game and let me drive i could get you where we needed to go real fast and with minimal frackups to the point you'd swear i was a pro.....in the resort, from lower guard tower to the lighthouse takes me about 10 seconds cus i literally gun it....and i hit absolutely nothing on the way.....I can get to the hotel in under as minute which is a lot faster than anyone else i saw.....also I was good at keeping an eye on my weapon health and always had backups for all my fave weapons.....

also the game that blows all other zombie games away is Left 4 Dead 1&2....

Have been told to give Okami a try ever since the PS2 days but it always gets lost in the shuffle. Might just have to take the initiative and go for it now.

For those out there who have played through it what game(s) is it similar to just to give me an idea?

@videogameninja: okami can best be compared to 3d zelda titles, and is definitely the best non-zelda zelda styled game in my opinion.
