Top-Selling PS4, PS3, and PS Vita Games on PSN in August 2016 Revealed
No Man's Sky leads the way on PS4, outselling Madden NFL 17.
As it does every month, Sony has now revealed the top-selling PlayStation Network games in the US for August across all major PlayStation platforms. This information was published today on the PlayStation Blog.
The highly anticipated No Man's Sky topped the charts on PlayStation 4, with Madden NFL 17, Battlefield 4, Rainbow Six Siege, and Battlefield Hardline rounding up the top five.
On PlayStation 3, Battlefield 4 was the No. 1 seller. The Last of Us, Minecraft, Battlefield Hardline, and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare took up the other top five spots. None of those games are new releases, but some were discounted during the month, which might have helped spur sales.
God Eater: Resurrection was the No. 1 game on PlayStation Vita during the month, while Ape Escape 2 topped the charts for PlayStation Classics.
In terms of DLC, Call of Duty: Black Ops III's Descent add-on led the way on PS4, while Call of Duty: Black Ops II's Nuketown Zombies map was the leader for PS3.
