Acclaim announced Tuesday that TrickStyle is definitely on track for a September launch, along with the Sega Dreamcast system. The game, which was only shown in video form earlier this month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), is being developed by UK-based Criterion studios, makers of RedLine Racer for the PC.

"We're very excited to be working with Acclaim on a top-quality Sega Dreamcast title," said Mike King, marketing director at Criterion Studios. "We're confident that TrickStyle will be a key title for the Sega Dreamcast system because of its stunning graphics and innovative gameplay."

TrickStyle will make use of such Dreamcast graphics technologies as texture compression and real-time physics calculations. It will also support the VMU with mini games. By completing specific tasks on the VMU, new hover boards can be earned for the main game. Look for TrickStyle to land on store shelves in the US and Europe when the Dreamcast launches this September.
