GodGames has announced that its island management game Tropico has gone gold. The game was developed at PopTop Software, the studio that created the popular Railroad Tycoon series. In Tropico, players will assume control of a tiny island nation in the Caribbean. As the dictator, players must manage their country's economic, military, and political development. The goal of the game is to build the island into a thriving nation.

For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game. Tropico is scheduled for release on April 24 for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
