Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games has announced on its website (via IGN) that two of its upcoming PlayStation VR games won't make it out this year as scheduled.

The horror game The Inpatient, which is set in the world of Supermassive's Until Dawn, is now launching on January 23, 2018 in the US and a day later in Europe and other international markets. The game takes place in the eerie Blackwood Sanatorium in the '50s.

Supermassive's other new PlayStation VR game, the first-person co-op shooter Bravo Team, has been delayed to March 6, 2018. It's coming a day later in Europe and other international regions.

Supermassive announced The Inpatient, Bravo Team, and the crime game Hidden Agenda during Sony's E3 2017 briefing back in June. Hidden Agenda launched at the end of October, and comes to Europe and other international markets on November 22.

PlayStation VR launched in October 2016, and just last month, Sony announced a new $400 model with minor but welcome changes. GameSpot's Jimmy Thang said in his review of the launch model, "it trips up too many times to wholeheartedly recommend at this point." You can read GameSpot's full review here.

@wexorian: Why are you trolling? The "new" PSVR is light refresh, you dont have to buy it, it wont offer anything new in technical side of things, just easy to use headphones and for 4K TV owners with HRD a pass-trough so you wont have to change cables of HDR, thats it

Better to delay to next year which is less than two months away than to release a No Man Sky.

What?!

Are you telling me we have to wait 'til next year for this to come out now? Ugh, I don't want to wait another whole year.

-Uh, Ninja... you do realize 2018 is less than 2 months away, right?-

@7tizz: I can see how such a move might confuse many and truthfully a developer missing out on a pivotal time for sales only further raises more questions but like you suggested I am hoping it has more to do with the reasons you insinuated than the alternative.

Even though they won't be able to squeeze either title out before the end of the year I don't think many will lose sleep over the delay for another month or 2. As long as the developer's use that extra time to "dot all their i's and cross all their t's" I'm sure the extra time will only aid rather than hinder the final product.

-MAYBE NEXT YEAR ;) NINJA APPROVED-

I hope supermassive games is working on another Until Dawn don't want them to get too bogged down in vr and playlink. They are good games but I'm concerned for their profits so they can stay afloat, unless they plan on selling out to Sony I dunno. Just reminds me of the Sleeping Dogs situation where instead of making a sequel they decided to make niche titles that proved to be less popular and ended up closing down because of it.

Hope they are worth the wait, so good to see the psvr still trucking. Hope we see a major upgrade with it when the PS5 hits. Cant wait for VR in 4k, both eyes 180 degree viewing angles running 120 fps.
