Original developer Ubisoft Sofia is handling the HD re-release, and Ubisoft says that the visuals of Assassin's Creed Liberation HD have been updated to feature new shaders and improved textures, and that AI and animations have been improved.
The touchscreen elements have been stripped out, and the game will feature 15 new missions. Existing missions have been tweaked based on player feedback, and Ubisoft adds that the game's free-running has been improved.
The game's HD remake was first outed last week when a screen of Ubisoft logos leaked online.
Alongside Liberation HD, Ubisoft also confirmed Assassin's Creed: Pirates for iOS and Android devices. Pirates will be focused entirely on naval battles, and will be set in the 18th century. The game will not be linked to the storyline of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Assassin's Creed: Pirates will launch this autumn.
