Ubisoft's Next Digital Event Coming In September With "Tons Of Game News"
Ubisoft will hold a second Forward event later this year to reveal more of its upcoming projects.
Update: Following a promise of another Ubisoft Forward digital event, the company has now confirmed when we can expect it. At its Q1 earnings call, the company stated that the event will be held in September. It didn't give a more specific date in September, but that narrows it down from the previous target of later this year. The original story follows.
Ubisoft Forward, the company's E3-style announcement event on Sunday, was actually just the first press conference that the publisher plans to hold this year.
Ubisoft confirmed during the show that it will hold a second Ubisoft Forward event later this year. The publisher is promising "tons of game news and updates" during the new show. An exact date for the second Ubisoft Forward event has not been announced, but keep checking back with GameSpot for the latest.
Ubisoft Forward 1 brought more news about Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, and HyperScape, while the company also announced Far Cry 6 during the event.
Some of the company's high-profile games missing from the show included the pirate game Skull & Bones and the long-in-development Beyond Good & Evil 2, among others.
Despite the ongoing abuse allegations at Ubisoft, the publisher did not address them during today's pre-recorded show.
As for what Ubisoft did announce during Ubisoft Forward, check out GameSpot's roundup of news.
