With Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe out next week, Microsoft will be giving 360 gamers a cut rate on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The online-enabled arcade fighter garnered solid reviews when it scrapped its way onto Microsoft's online platform in October 2006. Joining Midway's fighter will be Team 17's over-the-top annelid arms race Worms, as well as Oberon Media's casual action title Feeding Frenzy.

Currently, all three titles still bear their original 800 Microsoft points ($10) sticker tag. However, Microsoft's Web site indicates that once the official Arcade Hits branding goes into effect, they will drop to the budget-line 400 Microsoft points ($5) price. As of press time, the publisher had not responded to requests for clarification as to when the price will be enacted.

Tudynu, wrong dude. $5 bucks is DIRT cheap, hell $10 is DIRT cheap......especially for UMK3? one of the best 2D fighters ever made, period and one of the best(if not the best) in the MK series. Go MK! Nice, I play it all the time on DS online and at my friends place 360. Once I get my own, definitely getting this. Nice of Midway/M$$ to charge less near MK vs DC release. Awesome! UMK3 is a bargain and well worth it if you want a great fighter. Old or not ; )

@tudyniuz..MS points does make some games seem cheap..but it doesn't mean they're not good or you won't like it. And I'd rather underpay than overpay anyday.

Feeding Frenzy and MK3 should of been $5 from the get go, but Worms is honestly worth the $10. That game is absolutely awesome and full of fun and replay value. At $5, you really should pick it up.

Cool. I love Worms, but didn't bother to pick it up on XBLA since I own two editions for the PC. On the other hand I haven't played in a while, so at $5 I might buy it again.

Feeding Frenzy should have been mark down a while ago. Anyway I'm glad to see it come down in price, maybe I'll download it one day and pick it up. Ultimate MK3 is totally worth it, and since it has online play its realy a good deal for $5.

Well, hopefully this will be a more common trend a it gives the casual player a reason to try more arcade titles with a budget-friendly price point. I might try two of these myself in the next few weeks.
