Ultimate Street Fighter Showdown

Every year, GameSpot tries something new by hosting a live event that will take you away from your desk or couch. We have recently announced a live event for the Street Fighter series. The live event will be held in San Francisco and will host two Street Fighter tournaments. You can also expect to see arcade and console systems to play other old school Street Fighter games. If you can't stop by San Francisco on September 30th, we still have Community Game Night happening. The game will be Street Fighter 2 HyperFighting on the Xbox 360. We'll follow-up with further instructions on how to play other players at the event for those of you who will be playing from home. In the meantime, if you can get out to San Francisco, be sure to pre-register for a spot! You can also register at the San Francisco location but pre-registration gives you a guaranteed spot.

For those of you who would like to participate in the tournaments, this will only be at the San Francisco location. With $2,500 in tournament prizes at stake attendees will have two chances to win something.
