You can watch Jess and Sam play around the first hour of the game in the video above. Of course, it contains spoilers, so be mindful of that if that matters to you.

Vampyr is out now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Dontnod also has a Life is Strange sequel in the works, and if a reveal is coming soon, that could happen at E3 2018 next week.

GameSpot's Vampyr review scored the game a 7/10. "Vampyr is certainly shaggy and rough in the technical department, but its narrative successes still make for an impactful and worthwhile experience," reviewer Justin Clark said. You can read GameSpot's full review here.

I'm loving this game so far (about 8 hours in) but I think part of the reason I'm enjoying it so much is because I knew what to expect before I bought it.

The best vampire game of recent times without a doubt

Only major flaw thus far is the combat camera not catching up to the action. Often you fight blind or get turned around and take massive damage. Not much exploration or doors to open in the city, etc etc. But the story, plot and dialogue options are fulfilling, the setting is appealing as well and I enjoy consequential choices in a game . I expected more from this game to be honest but I am not completely disappointed either. I'd say a rating of 7/10 is fair.

@nz: That's why you lock on to your target to keep track of the action but I think I know what you mean. Occasionally a boss will disappear off screen and you have to spam the dodge cause you don't know where they've reappeared.
