Video Game Hall of Fame Asking Fans to Submit Nominations for This Year's Inductees
Which games should make the cut?
After inducting Pong, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Doom, and World of Warcraft into its inaugural World Video Game Hall of Fame last year, the Strong Museum is now seeking nominations for this year's round of inductees.

The Rochester, New York-based museum is calling on gamers to send in their nominations using this form. Submissions, which can be for arcade, console, computer, handheld, or mobile games, are due by Monday, February 29, so you have about a month left to send in your picks.
The finalists will be announced on March 29, with the winners revealed on May 5.
Although anyone can submit a nominations, an advisory committee made up of curators, educators, and historians will ultimately decide which games are nominated. The final selections, meanwhile, will be decided on by the advisory committee with the help of journalists, scholars, and other people "familiar with the history of video games and their role in society."
They will consider a number of factors in their selection process, including a game's "icon status," its longevity, geographical reach, and influence.
Games that were passed over for last year's class included Angry Birds, FIFA, The Legend of Zelda, Minecraft, The Oregon Trail, Pokemon, The Sims, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Space Invaders.
