Bandai Namco has released the opening cinematic for its upcoming role-playing game Dark Souls III. The impressive-looking video showcases some of the characters and creatures you will cross paths with (Yhorm the Giant, Aldrich Saint of the Deep, Farron's Undead Legion) on your journey through the land of Lothric. Speaking to GameSpot, Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki indicated he is interested in wrapping up the Souls saga with this game and said he believes From Software should aggressively pursue new ideas. Read our full Dark Souls 3 interview here.
Dark Souls III launches on April 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In addition to the base game, there are a few premium versions available, if that's what you're looking for.
