Watch Deadpool's Funny Trailer That Teases an Actual Trailer
"Get ready to blow out your collective sphincters."
20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for its upcoming action movie Deadpool. The trailer below is actually a trailer for a trailer--the full thing is coming tomorrow, August 4.
The video is full of jokes, including self-referential jabs about how silly it is to have a trailer for a trailer. The lighthearted nature is no surprise; after all, Deadpool is a wise-cracking, Hello Kitty-following guy.
The Deadpool movie tells the origin story of the Marvel Comic anti-hero Wade Wilson, who adopts the alter ego Deadpool after a science experiment gone wrong (or right?) gives him unnatural healing powers. He is played by "five-time Academy Award viewer" Ryan Reynolds in the film.
It opens in theaters in 2016, and we'll presumably know a lot more about the direction it's headed tomorrow when the trailer arrives.
In other news about Deadpool, Activision's 2013 video game based on the hero has returned to Steam.
