The first trailer for Marvel's upcoming Luke Cage series has been revealed, starring the titular character. The trailer was first shown at San Diego Comic-Con earlier today. In it, protagonist Luke Cage showcases his super strength and bulletproof-skin as he takes on some thugs.
The series will be set in Harlem, New York City, and follow Cage as he "attempts to rebuild his life." All episodes will be available on streaming service Netflix from September 30. Actor Mike Colter will portray the character, reprising his role from when the character first appeared in Marvel's Netflix-exclusive series, Jessica Jones.
The events of the Luke Cage series will tie-in to Marvel's The Defenders, which will also co-feature characters Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist. Earlier today a short teaser was revealed for The Defenders. The series will debut in 2017 on Netflix.
