Watch First Trailer for The Division's Survival Expansion
It's a cold world out there.
Following yesterday's livestream broadcast, Ubisoft today published an official trailer for The Division's next paid expansion, Survival. The video shows off the harsh conditions that players will face, including freezing temperatures and diseases. As announced previously, Survival adds a 24-player mode in which players begin with only low-level gear and must battle the elements and each other to survive.
Watch the video in the embed above. Here is Survival's official description:
"In this new expansion, players will face extreme conditions after their chopper is taken down by a snowstorm. As Division agents, they have information about a potential cure for the pandemic and they will need to be extracted from the Dark Zone. Finding warm clothes, supplies, food, water and medicine will be vital to their success. However, the environment is not the only danger out there; players must also be aware of 23 other agents and face off against the Hunters, a new mysterious and deadly enemy who is always one step ahead of them."
Survival is The Division's second paid piece of add-on content, following June's Underground expansion. Survival was originally pegged to come out over the summer but was delayed to give Ubisoft more bandwidth to focus on fixing the game's "lingering issues."

The Division's third and final expansion, Last Stand, is slated to come out in early 2017. It, too, was was delayed, as it was previously scheduled to arrive this winter.
PC players who bought The Division's DLC pass before last Thursday, November 3, can play a beta version of Survival today. This is available through the game's testing server until November 13. Survival will later come out for everyone on PC and Xbox One alongside a 1.5 patch, which will be free. A release date for Survival has not been announced.
All DLC for The Division launches first on Xbox One and PC as part of a marketing deal between Ubisoft and Microsoft; PlayStation 4 gamers will eventually get Survival, about a month after Xbox One and PC.
