Watch Nearly 5 Minutes of Halo 5 Campaign Footage
Lookin' good.
Ahead of its release next month, Microsoft is now showing more of Halo 5's campaign. The company today released nearly five minutes of gameplay footage from the the campaign mission Swords of Sanghelios.
Note that this is a solo playthrough (with AI companions rounding out the fireteam), and it's just a "small section" of the entire mission. What we do see looks impressive--be sure to toggle the 1080p/60fps option for the full effect.
One thing that is immediately noticeable is how vast and sprawling the levels are. The game's new movement abilities are also on display, including the devastating ground pound move. Halo hero Master Chief is nowhere to be seen in this footage, as it instead focuses on Fireteam Osiris, led by Agent Locke.
Halo 5 launches on October 27 exclusively for Xbox One. Microsoft also today confirmed that the game uses a dynamic resolution in campaign to stay locked at 60fps. For more on Halo 5's campaign, check out this detailed post on the Xbox Wire.
