Watch New Daredevil Season 2 Trailer, See Elektra in Action

[UPDATE] A new trailer for Daredevil Season 2 has been released, featuring a longer look at Elektra. Watch it along with the teaser below.

One of the main characters in the Daredevil universe is Elektra. Matt Murdoch's ex-girlfriend turned ninja assassin has featured in Marvel's comics since the early '80s, and will be making her TV debut when the second season of Netflix's Daredevil returns next month. A new teaser showing the character in action for the first time been released--check it out below.

Elektra is played by Elodie Yung. In a recent interview with Collider, Yung spoke about how secretive the show's producers were when she was auditioning for the role. "I didn't even know it was for Daredevil," she said. "Everything is so top secret. Every time, they would give me notes and I would learn a little bit more about who this girl was without knowing it was for Elektra.

"At the last audition with Charlie [Cox], I knew it was for Elektra. Luckily, I was a big fan of the series. I've never read any comics, so I'm not very familiar with all of that. They asked me if I knew Elektra and the comics, and I was like, "No, not really." You have to be honest.

"So, I started discovering this amazing world. I found a really old copy of Elektra: Assassin, which was the first thing that I read. When you read the first issue, you don't understand anything. It is very complex and very dark. I was excited."

Daredevil season two hits Netflix on March 18. It also stars Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson, Jon Bernthal, and Scott Glenn.
