Watch New Doom Multiplayer Trailer, Closed Beta Dates Announced For PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Bethesda has released a new multiplayer trailer for its upcoming first-person shooter Doom. The game will have several multiplayer modes, including four-player deathmatch, domination, freeze tag, and clan arena. You can watch the trailer in the embed below.

In addition, Bethesda revealed the Doom closed beta will run from March 31 to April 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Players who pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed their beta code will have access to the closed beta period. More information on this can be found on the official website.

Developer id Software has teamed up with Certain Affinity to develop the multiplayer part of Doom. It is not the first time Certain Affinity has partnered with a well-known studio to work exclusively on the multiplayer segment of a game; the studio has contributed to the multiplayer development of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Halo 4, amongst others.

Doom is slated for a May 13 release date worldwide on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Developer id Software recently held a competition allowing fans to vote upon their favoured design for a reverse sleeve cover for the game--check out the winning art design here.
