Watch New Star Wars 7 Behind-the-Scenes Video, Early International Box Office Figures Set Records

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has finally arrived. The movie is now playing in theatres across the world, and another behind-the-scenes featurette has been released. This one is a bit longer than some of the earlier making-of videos, and focuses upon the location shoot in Abu Dhabi. Check it out below:

The Force Awakens was released on Wednesday this week in some European territories, and initial box office figures are already in. Deadline reports that the film is already on course to have one of the biggest openings in history, pulling in $14.1 million in one day from 12 different countries. It has also set opening day records for Belgium, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

The movie is expected to smash US box office records this weekend. Pre-release ticket sales have already topped $100 million, and there are estimates that it could earn as much as $250 million in its first three days.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by JJ Abrams and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher.
